Althought Taylormade was already in the hybrid market these Adams Tight Lies I-Wood hybrids jumped out at me as one of the first very popular hybrid models.

The black finish and the simplicity really made these desirable at the time.

I am a hybrid player so naturally I am grateful to Adams and Taylormade for popularizing these designs.
