These irons were in production for a more than a decade and were the irons many people remember through the 1990s. I know many people in my generation that owned a set of these as their first set. Because these are also available at great deals online, I expect many more will find their first games being played with these.
The cavity backs are interesting as there are alignment lines at the base of the cavity. At address these are not visible. These are wonderful to hit and should be played more often. The offset can be polarizing but I think they are pleasing to look at.
Something I wish would come back? Lofts on the face!
The other interesting point is these was the era when cast stainless steel clubs had this dark heterogeneous look to the material. If anything, this always filled me with confidence and I never once cared about damaging a stainless iron from this decade.
